Love Is Running Out
Several years ago, I tried to capture not only the heart and should but also the message of TerraNova and put it in a song. A song that we could use in our gatherings. A song that we could sing. Over and over. Until the words were deep within us and we began to live out the mission we felt we had been called to.
The idea came to me, as so many do, in the middle of the night. “Love is running out.” But not in the sense that might first come to mind. Like, somehow, we’ve run all out of love (“Honey, run next door to the neighbors and see if they’re got any extra love. We’ve run out again.”). But that our church could, literally, be a place where love was running out of the doors and into the streets.
The song came to be and we first sang it on a Palm Sunday many years ago.
In 2018, I met Andy Hernandez and Andy and I began to try to collaborate on a brand new vision for the song. A way to make it fresh again. We did just that.
I hope you enjoy the brand new version of “Love Is Running Out.” Available wherever you download or stream music.
